    Foreign policy stating they woll not intervene with Latin American countries but they will trade with them. This is significant because this is a large source of where are imports began to come from and the U.S made lots of money off of it.

    This was a meeting of the nations of Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, and France. This was significant because it was an attempt before the war even started to give Hitler territory in order to appease him.

    The mass genocide of Jews by Nazi Germany led by Hitler. This is significant because this is a large reason that the Second World War began due to its immorality.

    Policy allowing sale of material as long as the recipients had their own transport and paid in immediate cash. This is significant because it lost the U.S less money because they were taking less risks in shipping peoples stuff and not getting paid.

    An act prohibiting the selling of weapons to warring nations. This is significant because it shows that the United States attempted to keep out of the war as long as they could.

    This is the beginning of home fronts to ration what they had. This is significant because it shows the extents citizens went to ensure that their soldiers were well equipped by giving up what they had.

    An evacuation of Allied forces from beaches and harbors of France. This is significant because the Aliied forces began to get cut off and could no longer do anything in their position.

    A slogan started by FDR in a radio broadcast. This is significant because this pushed Americans to believe that they could end the war by overproducing and providing supplies for the Allies.

    This is the idea that the unemployment rate of Americans was minimized to a really small number. This also allowed the United States to get out of the Depression because of all the jobs being created due to production.

    This is when women began to work in factories to produce weapons for their men in the military. This is significant because without their help a lot of factories could not have produced as much as they did in order to supply our military.

    This is a meeting of officials of the United States and Great Britain. This is significant because this conference is where America decided to join the war and help.

    Aid given to nations in the war by the U.S. giving them economic aid. This is significant because without this many defenseless countries not have been able to survive the war.

    This is the time of year when birth rates rose to all time highs. This is significant because it caused a large increase in the population demanding more supplies.

    This is an executive order demanding that companies with government contracts to not discriminate people based on race, religion, or creed. This is significant because it begins to show that the U.S is truly in need of workers to produce even more and will do anything to get it.

    This is the government challenging Americans to put 10 % of their paychecks into war bonds. This is significant because it is financed a lot of the military funds.

    Document between FDR and Winston Churchill. This was significant because it was an agreement on views between Great Britian and the U.S. for the freedom and welfare of countries after the war.

    Bombing of U.S naval base in Hawaii by Japan. This is significant because it is the reason the the United States entered the war to avenge the attack on its naval bases.

    A program where they allowed immigrants to enter the nation in exchange for agricultural work. This allowed us to maintain a balance of farming and factory production without giving up people and making more money and produce for the military.

    Japanese Internment. Social Event for the United States. The internment of Japanese put Japanese Americans in camps for their protection in fear of being attacked from the coast. This event is significant because it was a precaution for the security of our nation and without it, we might have been attacked by Japan.

    Important naval battle between U.S and Japan. This is significant because this is the U.S attempt to push Japan back to its original islands.

    Invasion of North Africa by the Allies. This is significant because it is what drove most of the Axis Powers off that continent in order to push them back to Germany and close them in.

    This is the high amount of personal income being made by many average Americans due to the high amount of production. This is significant because it is what greatly allowed the boom in America's economy.

    This was an attempt from African Americans to eliminate fascism overseas and also eliminate discrimination at home. This is significant because it built black morale and headed off radical action.

    This is the foming of gourps who are fighting for better work conditions and pay. This is significant because it is the beginning of minorites realizing they can fight for rights and is the motivation to movements in the future.

    This is a meeting between officials on what to do in Italy. This is significant because it is where it was decided to invade through Italy and demand an unconditional surrender from Japan.

    This is a conference in Canada between officials on what to do about the war. This is significant because it is where it was decided to do D-Day in the year 1944.

    This is the high taxation that FDR began to put on the many employed people of the United States and they didn't mind because of how much they were making. This is significant because this is where a lot of money for military funds came from.

    Bloody battle between Allies and Germans in Western Europe. This is significant because this battle showed that the Germans were pretty much done and were basically at a point where they could go nowhere.

    This is a meeting in which the superpowers of the world met. This is significant because this where the United Nations is first created in order to handle international conflicts better.
  • Battle of the Bulge (military)

    Major German offensive through forested mountains. This is significant because it shows the final attempt in desperation of Germany to attack and escape but they no longer can.
  • Yalta Conference (political)

    WW II meeting of FDR, Winston Churchill, and Stalin. This is significant because this meeting is when the Ais Powers decided to destroy Germany and ensure it never happens again.
  • Battle of Iwo Jima (military)

    Major battle in which the U.S fought for Iwo Jima from Japan. This is significant because this island had three airfields which they could use in order to bomb Japan easier.
  • United Nations Conference on International Organization

    This is a union of 50 different nations. This is significant because it is where the United Nations Charter is established with written international laws.
  • V-E Day (military)

    Celebratory day for the Allied nations. Thisi is significant because it is the day when the war in Europe ended and the Allies had a victory.

    This is a meeting between the Allies. This is significant because this is where they decide that Japan must surrender unconditionally and decide what to do about Germany.
  • Bombing of Hiroshima/Nagasaki (military)

    This was the first use of an atomic bomb in warfare by the U.S on anyone. This is significant because it is believed to be the cause to the ending of the Pacific theatre of WWII.
  • One Million Negro Inductions (social)

    This is the fact that one million African Americans inducted into the military. This is significant because it shows the improtance that their manpower was to us winning.
