    The acts were put into place by the British to try and control trade of their colonies and between England and the rest of the world. This is an example of a turning point because it restricted a lot of free trade for the colonies.

    A meeting held between the first colonies of America , the first congress, to try and devise a plan to stop the British taxation on them. This is an example of Diplomacy because because it was one of the first real governing acts of the american people to take place

    a document written by the stamp act congress saying that any taxes imposed on British colonists without their consent was unconstitutional. This is an example of diplomacy because it was a peaceful step towards the american people getting their independence.

    This was a group created to help protect the rights of the colonists. This is an example of freedom because these people were standing up for the freedom to be able to choose what they want to do.

    an event in which british soldiers shot and killed many innocent american people while under attack from trouble makers. This is an example of a turning point because this was one of the main events that made the American people say they wanted the British off of their land and started a revolution.

    This Congress was formed from delegates of the thirteen colonies to manage the colonial war effort and gain independence. This is an example of compromise because a lot of people gave up a lot of things in their lives to fight for the freedom of their fellow Americans.

    The french decided to help the American people during the revolutionary war by supplying them with resources to fight against the British. This is an example of a turning point because this gave America the power it needed to push back against the British and claim their independence.

    The first outbreak of armed conflict between the British Soldiers and the American Soldiers. This was a turning point because it started all of the violence that would ensue over the next several years.

    It was America's last diplomatic attempted resolution to try and avoid war between the colonies and Great Britain, but unfortunately that did not happen. This is an example of Diplomacy because it shows America trying to be as peaceful as possible even when tensions are extremely high between Great Britain and the colonies.

    A pamphlet written by Thomas Paine that had the intent to persuade the American people to fight for their independence from Great Britain. This was an example of freedom because he used free speech to write this and he encouraged others to fight for what belonged to them.

    A group of people who rebelled against the british control and who declared America as independent from Great Britain. This is an example of Freedom because they did not stand for being controlled by another power they did not feel they belonged to.

    The document signed that declared America as a free and independent country from Great Britain. This is an example of freedom and diplomacy because this showed that no matter what fighting was going on during the war, they determined to themselves and put their foot down that they were an independent country and would not back down against the British.

    The first successes won by Washington, bringing lots of energy to the American cause and established Washington as a confident leader in the eyes of his troops. This is a turning point because it gave the american soldiers the courage they needed so desperately to fight harder against the British.

    It was the first constitution of the united states that was written and presented to the continental congress. This was a turning point because it set the foundation for what America wanted to become and gave it something to build off of.

    A treaty negotiated between the Colonists and Great Britain that recognized their independence. This was an example of diplomacy because it was a peaceful transition from war and hate and greed into respect.
  • Three Fifths Compromise

    This was the first step to slavery ending, even though it was very small. It was determined that each slave would be counted as 3/5ths of a person when determining representatives for the states. This is an example of compromise because even though it was a very small step forward, it was still a stepping stone to slavery coming to an end.

    An armed uprising in Massachusetts against the current government and its civil injustices. This is an example of a turning point because it was an example to everyone in the colonies that what was happening wasn't right and they needed to stand up for themselves and their fellow citizens.

    The first ten amendments were passed limiting the power of congress over the american people. This is an example of freedom because it gave every person in america the right to free speech and life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
