This war lead to many debates and fights that would, in the end, help make America what it is today.

    The Transcontinental railroad was significant because it gave more opportunity to those in need of work and also transported goods faster. Chinese and Irish immigrants were the ones who mostly worked on it and when it was finished it impacted America by making the transfer of just about anything much faster and more efficient.

    The New Deal was Roosevelts response to the Great Depression in which was supposed offer relief, recovery, and recession. This New Deal helped America get out of depression and to recover, which in turn helped Americans become more confident in the economy.

    The European theater was the fight between the US and Germany over the Nazi era and the genocide. The Pacific theater was between the US and Japan. These were important times in history because they both were battles for the US.

The US and USSR had an arms race and a space race, and if these never happened who knows where technology would be now because it might have took us even longer to disover new ways to travel through space or create nuclear weapons.

    Pearl Harbor is when Japan used Kamikaze planes to attack a US naval base in Hawaii, which killed many Americans. This sparked the United State's entry into War World II. If this never happened then we may have never entered the war which would have impacted Germany and the countries around Japan greatly.

    Brown v. Board of Education is a surpreme court case that pretty much turned over the Plessy v. Ferguson which was that races could be sepreated as long as they were equal. However, this court case said that it wasn't fair for schools to seperated and that the education was not equal, which helped spark a movement.

    The Freedom Riders were protesters who were against the seperation of colored and white people on buses which was sparked by Rosa Parks refusal to get move out of her seat on a bus for a white person. If these riders never rode, then public transportation may have taken many more years then it already did to get rid of the seperation system.

    The Civil Rights Act of 1964 is important because it banned all discrimination based on race, sex, religion, etc. This was a major milestone because it gave hope to all those who were once discriminated against over everything and if never have gotten passed then it may have taken longer then it already did.

    The Camp David Accords was a meeting at Camp David between Israel and Egypt that was to settle peace between the two. The meeting was set up by President Carter and it was important because it caused the two countries to have peace with each other. At least on paper.

    Reagonomics was President Reagan's economic policy to reduce government spending, federal income tax, capital gains tax, reduce government regulation, and control money supply to reduce inflation. This is important to history because Reagonomics was one of the majory policies in history that was suppose to help America stay out of a depression, which would lead to further exploration of policies.
