    Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of independence was signed by the representatives to declare freedom from birtain. Although it wasn't the exact reason America earned its independence this made significant progress in getting independence form Britain.
  • The Lousiana Purchase

    The Lousiana Purchase
    The Lousiana Purchase was a transaction done between the United States and France. The purchase was done by Thomas Jefferson and Napoleon. The whole Louisiana territory cost 15 million dollars; which roughly fits to be 3 cents an acre. This purchase doubled the size of the United States and gave the United States more overall power.

    Lewis and Clark Expedition of the Louisiana Territory.
    The Lewis and Clark expedition of the Lousiana territory was an expedition to explore the newly bought Louisiana that came from France. Merriweather Lewis and William Clark were hired to this job. They traveled on the Mississippi river and reached the Pacific ocean. Along the way the traveleres mapped the Lousiana with accuracy and found over 200 new plants and animal species.

    Tensions between great Britain and the United States were still left over from the war. So they had another war to finally decide. This war involved the United States, Great Britain, indigenous tribes, and Spain.This finally decided if the United States should have its independence.
  • The Trail of Tears

    The Trail of Tears
    The Trail of Tears was an event that happened in American history when president Andrew Jackson passed the, "Indian Removal Act". The indian removal act forced all indians to move into an area of land that is now present day Oklahoma. The walk was 2,200 miles. During this trek about 25 percent of the indian population died. After all the indians were relocated the Americans then continued to take that land as well.

    The California Gold Rush was an event that had people from all over the globe go to California in hopes of finding gold. This started after a farmer had the discovery of gold on the ground. Then the news circulated all over the world to make people ambitious about going to California. Although, people who found gold made it big the people who made the most money were merchants who sold to the miners. This event was crucial for America's growth because they grew in population and economically
  • Fugitive Slave Act

    Fugitive Slave Act
    The fugitive slave act was an act made to appease the South which were threatening to secede. This law said that runaway slaves who have been freed in the North can be arrested and taken to the South with no trial. This enraged the North making the abolitionist who lived there break the law and not allow people to take the slaves back.
  • Bleeding Kansas

    Bleeding Kansas
    In 1855 Kansas was torn betwwen anti slavery and pro slavery. People from Missouri came and voted illegally therefore making all the state representatives be pro slavery. The anti slavery people in Kansas did not like this and started rebelling. This started a civil war in Kansas and continued for threee years. This was called, "Bleeding Kansas."
  • Harper's Ferry

    Harper's Ferry
    Harper's Ferry was when John Brown, an abolitionist, Took over a weapons arsenal and started killing pro slavery Kansans. Him and his followers were apprehended by the U.S. Navy. Brown and six of men were captured, and ten were killed. Only 2 of the 19 men survived. Of the 7 men who were captured all of them were lynched for murder and treason.
  • Attack on Fort Sumter

    Attack on Fort Sumter
    In 1861, the Confederates attacked Fort Sumter to try and capture it. Because of this, president Lincoln sent supplies to try to fend them off but it did little to the outcome as it was conquered by the Confederates. This marked the beginning of the civil war.

    The Great Depression happened when the USA’s economy plummeted downwards. This happened because unemployment rates went up and industrial production went down. During this period of time it was hard to get jobs. If you did get a job, you did not get paid very well. To this day it stand as a reminder of how important economy is and how unstable it is.
  • The ELIAC

    The ELIAC
    General Gladeon Marcus Barnes led the creation of the very first computer, ELIAC. The ELIAC was made to calculate fighting tables for the United States Army. The ELIAC marked the beginning of many more creations as people became curious of its possibilities. This then lead to many revolutionary upgrades to the computer making it the computers we have now.
  • Brown vs Board of Education

    Brown vs Board of Education
    In Topeka, Kansas a little girl could not enter a school for white kids despite it being closer to her home. Instead, she had to go across town to go to a black school. Her father attempted to sue the board of education for this. The Brown family won the case to desegregate all schools.
  • The Vietnamese War

    The Vietnamese war started because North Vietnam wanted to turn Vietnam into a communist country and south Vietnam did not. Eventually, North Vietnam won the war because South Vietnam and it's allies could not fend against North Vietnam and its Chinese and Russian allies This is important because this affected not only Vietnam, but also the countries that were involved in the conflict.

    Elvis Presley died an untimely death and the event cause a lot of confusion. His family covered up the true reason of his death. This caused a lot of conspiracy but most people suspected he died of an overdose. Elvis was very important in the 50's and 60's times and was loved by many Americans who liked his music.

    9/11
    On this day terrorist from Afghanistan took control of four commmercial airplanes, to then crash them into The World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. U.S. officials were forced to take action quick and recieved support from other countries.

    The origins of anonymous
    Anonymous is a hacker group that started on the website called 4chan. Anonymous has members from all around the world. They have been notorious for their hack attacks on many people and other organizations. Some of these attacks were on scientology, the KKK, and even terrorist groups such as ISIS. Anonymous are still active to day and are still hacking on an international level.
