  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was a historic event that took place on March 5th, 1770. A group of colonists surrounded some soldiers in front of the State House. The red coats were being harassed and afraid for their lives. So, the British Soldiers opened fire to the colonists, killing 5 of them. So, the soldiers who killed them went to court and were found innocent. Therefore, this even led to colonial anger towards the British Soldiers and the British King.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party took place on December 16, 1773. There was a protest against the tea act. Many people were unhappy and angry. Colonists blocked tea ships from landing and delivering tea. One of the men, George Hewes, later recalled the events. Later that night, Hewes and other people destroyed 342 tea chests and were throwing them in the river to protest the Tea Act.
  • The Declaration Of Independence

    The Declaration Of Independence
    On July 4th, 1776, the declaration of independence was signed and held America’s most valuable document. It provided reasons to separate Britain from our Country and provided principles of government upon how the United States would be built. The Declaration of Independence also helped provide safety and happiness to the Country.
  • The Call for Bill of Rights

    The Call for Bill of Rights
    In June, 1788, The Call for Bill of Rights was being discussed. Antifederalists wanted written guarantees that people would have freedom of speech, of the press, and of religion. They demanded assurance of the right to trial by jury and the right to bear arms. In the end, Federalists yielded to the people’s demands and promised to add a bill of rights if the states ratified the constitution.

    In 1803, the Louisiana Purchase was made for $15 million by Thomas Jefferson.Land was then sold for 3 cents an acre. This is so important in history because it changed the United States in many ways. Those ways were economically, territorally, and politically.
  • The Lewis and Clark Journey West

    The Lewis and Clark Journey West
    Since the Louisiana purchase was approved and brought for $15 million by Thomas Jefferson, Jefferson hired two workers named ''Merriweather Lewis’’ and ‘’William Clark’’.They were pioneer explorers who were hired to explore the Louisiana Territory by Thomas Jefferson. This event is important in our history because it helped making traveling west easier since Clark was an expert map maker and was responsible for making the maps that would guide more Americans West.
  • The Trail of Tears

    The Trail of Tears
    Since the Indian Removal Act started, many Native Americans were forced to travel to the Indian Territories. Over 1,000 women and childeren died during this journey, This became The Trail of Tears. This event is important in our history because many Native Americans died and Native Americans were forced to travel in the harsh conditions like weather and the two rivers they had to go through. (Ohio and Mississppi River)
  • Fugitive Slave Act

    Fugitive Slave Act
    This was an event in history when accused fugitives could be held without an arrest warrant. Fugitives would have no right to a trial.Due to this, Southerners backed the Fugitives Slave Act because they thought slaves were considered ''property''. This act drew more people into abolitionist cause.
  • Uncle Tom's Cabin

    Uncle Tom's Cabin
    Uncle Tom’s Cabin have caused people who read it to become part of the abolitionist movement because God has a curse on slavery. Due to God’s curse on slavery, it is a sin to hold any slave that you have. It’s cruel to force human beings to work and not get paid, and be whipped when they didn’t work hard enough. To include, when a slave has a family, they would often be sold to other plantations and be separated.
  • Harpers Ferry

    Harpers Ferry
    Harpers Ferry was an event that happened on Oct. 16th, 1859. John Brown had raided Harpers Ferry, along with his 18 followers.The U.S. Marines attacked Brown At Harpers Ferry. Brown and six others were captured, while ten men were killed. John was tried for murder, and betrayal of his own country. He was found gulty and hung to death.
  • Attack On Fort Sumter

    In 1861, Fort Sumter was being attacked with confederate troops, starting the civil war.
  • The Supreme Court Case

    The Supreme Court Case
    The Supreme Court Case issued a unanimous ruling on Brown VS. Board of Education because segregation in school and other facilities was illegal in the 1950’s.
  • The Death Of Elvis

    The Death Of Elvis
    On August 16, 1977, Elvis Presley was found unresponsive in his bathroom. He was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead. Doctors believe he had a heart attack due to his addiction to prescription barbiturates and his considerable weight gain.
  • 9-11-2001

    9-11-2001
    On September, 11, 2001, a tragic and historical event occurred. A terrorism group named ‘’al Qaeda’’ or ‘’the base’’ attacked the Twin Towers and killed about 2,500 people. Two planes hit the two Twin Towers, which caused fire and the towers to collapse. Since that happened, on October, 2001, the US military attacked Afghanistan to get the group who was responsible for the 9-11 attack. The group was later killed in the attack.
