    At the Boston Massacre the Bristish soldiers came to the colony. They started shooting the colonist because they were throwing things at the soldiers. It' important because it changed people opinion about the British soldiers, and the British king. It also was a big event in American history.

    The Declaration of Independence was the moment that the Americans finally had freedom from Britain, and the document declares their new laws, and government. This event is important, because it was the very first time that American had freedom to become their own government.

    Thomas Jefferson bought the Louisiana Teritoty and the Louisiana Territory became a part of United States. This event is important because I had a major impact on the Western Expansion, and doubled the size of the nation.

    Lewis and Clark went on an expedition, and explored the Louisiana territory. This event is important because this expedition lead to the Louisiana purchase.
  • The Trail of Tears

    The Trail of Tears
    The Cherokee tribe was forced to leave their homes, and travel a long way to their new homes. This event was important because it effect the way the whites moved west, and how the Indains were going to live the rest of thier lives.
  • The California Gold Rush

    The California Gold Rush
    James Marshall found gold in a stream and then people started looking for gold as a living. This event is important because it was when we found gold, and this event brought a lot of people together looking for gold.
  • The Donner Party

    The Donner Party
    The Donner Party was a group of immigrants headed west, but they decided to take a shortcut. This lead to a rougher terrian and it lead them to Sierra Nevada Mountains. Which had heavy snowfall. They ran out of resources, and were hungry. This lead to killing each other for food. This event is important because it shows that in the travel to the west was hard, and people starved and would do anything for food. (History.com)

    Uncle Tom's Cabin is a stroy that was written by Harriet Beech Stowe in 1852. It was a book about slavery and the hardships that the slaves went through. This event is important because the book changed people's opinions about slavery, and the book encourged people to join the abolitionist movement.

    Bleeding Kanas is a term used to represent the voilence that occured the settling of the Kanas territory.The Kanas - Nebraska Act overturned the Missiouri Compromise. This Act told the U.S. were the free states and the slave states were divided. This event is important because it affect where slavery was legal and illegal. Which affected many people's
    lives and the act would helped settle arugements, which helped put off the CIvil War.

  • Harper's Ferry

    Harper's Ferry
    A U.S. military arsenal was target by an armed band of abolitionist that was led by John Brown. John wanted to captured freed slaves, but while in the act he was caught. He was found to be gulity of treason, and was hanged to his crimes. This event is important because it shows that peope were still angry that any black person could be free and these people would do anything to fix what they thought was wrong.

This event is important because it shows that in the 1860s supplies for troops was really low. We know that because people attacked troops because they were going to receive supplies from the President.
