The Declaration was adopted by the Continental congress. This day is like a birthday for our country. This day is important because this is the day that we gained our rights and independence. -

Lewis and Clark journey
This expidtion was lead by two explorers, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. They were set out to explore the American West. Also a big factor of this trip was Sacagawea, who knew native american languages and the land. This is important because they made the first good map for the journey. The Texas Revolution
Actions of the Mexican Government caused angry protests from Americans and Tejanos. Then Austin wrote a letter to Mexico's President, General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna saying that Texas wants to become one state and Santa Anna didn't agree so he sent Austin to jail, and Texans rebelled. The Donner Party
This was a California trail-wagon of 81 American Pioneers who found themselves trapped in the snow in Sierra, Nevada. 36 people died some by disease, starvaion, exposure, and even some by canibilism. This is importat because some of them ate eachother and their family. (Wikipedia) -

Thousands of settlers came to California in search of gold. This is important because this raised the population in this certain area. The timespan was from 1848-1852. (McDougal Littell) pg. 439 -
The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
When Abraham Lincoln was shot the American Revolution was coming to a close. John Wilkes Booth was the man who killed Abe. He killed him because there was a large conspiracy in a bid to revive the federate cause. When this happened Lincoln was watching a play at a theatre. Abe died the next morning. -
The stock market crash of 1929
This was the worst stock market crash in U.S. history. This day is also known as Black Tuesday. This is important because alot of people lives were changed in this tragic time. -

This was the beginning of the super-hero genre. This superman copy sold more than 2 million of one copy. That's the only copy to sell 2 million copies for a single original copy. -

This attack happened primarily in Hawaii territory. The harbor was attacked by 353 japanese figghters, bombers, and torpedo planes. 2,042 people were killed and 1,282 were wounded. -
The dropping of the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima
The United States conducted this atomic bomb in Japan. There were 60,000-80,000 killed in Hiroshima. These were the final stages of WWII. -
The inaguration of JFK
On this very day, JFK became the 35th president of The United States. He only lasted two years until he was assinated, on November 22nd 1963. A famous sentence from Kennedy that day was '"I will get this country moving again." -
The first appearance of Spider-Man in comics
This comic character was created by writer/editor Stan Lee, and writer/artist Steve Ditko. The series became even more known when it featured Peter Parker, an teenage kid in highschool. Spider-Man was placed 3rd in IGN'S top 100 comic heroes of all time. -

The march on Washington one of the biggest political rallies fighting for human rights, in U.S. history. This rallie appeared in Washintong D.C. There were about 200,000 to 300,000 participants that day. This event is important because these African Americans were fighting for human rights and they wanted everyone to be treated equally no matter your color. -

Ronald became the 40th president of The United States. This inuaguration was located in Washington D.C. This was important because this was the day that America got a new president. -

Challenger was lost during the disaster when it took off from Cape Canaveral. During that it killed all seven aboard on the shuttle. NASA stopped all space shuttle flights for 2 years. The Challenger was the 25th space shuttle mission and it was going to be the 10th shuttle launch for the Challenger. -

On 9/11, 2001, 19 people who were with the Islamic extremist Al-Queda took over 4 airplanes and planned suicidle attacks against U.S targets. Two planes flew into the World Trade Center in NYC, the Third plane hit the Pentagon outside of Washington D.C., and the last one hit a field in PA. The attacks caused a lot of death, and it caused U.S. iniatatives to combat against terrorism. More than 3,000 people were killed during the event in NYC, and Washington D.C. -
First game back from my injury in basketball
I came back from a broken hand, wich was hard because i had gain strength in it and learn how to shoot again. It was hard to just sit there watch as my teammates play and also they needed me too. This event is important to me because i scored the most points i ever did in one game.
