It was important to U.S. history, because it showed that America did not like being ruled by Great Britain. It is also important, because the American Revolution allowed the colonies to gain freedom and ultimately became the United States.

    The Boston Tea Party was a protest against the tax on tea. Colonists did not want to pay taxes on British tea, so they dumped the tea in the Boston Harbor. It is important to U.S. history, because it started the phrase "no taxation without representation". It is also important, because the Intolerable Acts were created as punishment of these actions.

    The assassination of Abraham Lincoln occurred when he was watching a play at Ford's Theatre. Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth and his motive was to get revenge for the Confederate states. It was important to U.S. history, because Lincoln wanted to get rid of slavery and have equality. It was also important, because Lincoln wanted to change the U.S. for the better, but there were still people out there who wanted confederacy to rise.

    Plessy v. Ferguson was a legal case to uphold racial segregation laws. The case was allowed only if facilities were separate, but equal. It was important to U.S. history, because "separate but equal" facilities were not followed. This increased racial segregation, because, for example, white water fountains were clean with cold water, but black water fountains were dirty with warm water.

It is also important, because this win allowed the United Nations to be formed.

It was also important, because 350 Japanese aircrafts attacked which led to many casualties; "a date that would live in infamy" - President Roosevelt.

The Cold War showed that communism was not helping the citizens and ended when the Berlin Wall was damaged.

The law was in favor of the Brown family who believed that they should not have schools separated by color. It was also important, because this was the first step to getting rid of racism.

It was also important, because it showed that all people no matter their color should be equal and to use public transportation as everyone else.

It was also important, because every year we remember the victims who died to this unfortunate event.
