In this time period, many governments were changed to democracy or limited monarchy. The Encyclopedia was written in this time and eventually the Church was separated from the government. This impacted history because without it, we might not have all these ideas about science and government. -

More about the Industrial RevolutionThe Indutrial Revolution was a time period when technology was advancing. Inventions were made such as the Spinning Jenny, Cotton Gin and the seed drill. The Industrial Revolution was very, very important to history. Because of it, advances in the textile industry, transportation and communication were made. -
Seven Years War
More about the Seven Years WarThe Americans were in war with the French and Native Americans over the land that they claimed. The French wanted to take the land from them while the Native Americans wanted the land back. At the end of the war, America won and they gave the French Canada excpet for two little islands. This war was important to history because if we would have lost, we might not have all the land we have today. -
Start of American Revolution
More about the American RevolutionAmericans were unhappy with the way Great Britain was treating them so they decided to revolt against the King. This event had a domino effect, meaning that other countries realized that they wanted a different government as well and then revolted against their ruler. And without this event, the United States may have not expanded it's land. -

More about the French RevolutionThe French Revolution wasn't a war like the American Revolution, it was more of a rebellion. The people of France weren't happy with the government because the King and Queen were putting the country in debt. Queen Marie-Antoinette was mainly the reason for the debt. The King and Queen were imprissoned during this time and then guillotined. This impacted history because when the revolution was over, France's leader was dead and the French government had changed. -
Reign of Terror
More about the Reign of TerrorThe Reign of Terror was a period during the French Revolution when people that were for the Revolution killed anybody that was anti-revolution. The Terror was started by Robespierre and ended because of his death. In the end 17,000 people were killed. The impact this event had on history was that France had lost their ruler because Robesiperre had killed the King and Queen. -
American Civil War
More about the American Civil WarThe American Civil War started in the spring of 1861 when the North and South were fueding over westward expansion, the right to have slaves, and states rights. 620,000 people died out of 2.4 million soliders and hundreds of thousands others were injured. In the end, the North won with the South's land destroyed. The impact that the Civil War had on history is that you don't want to mess with America. America proved that they were tough enough to handle anything. -

More about the Age of ImperialismThe Age of Imperialism is when European countries took over smaller countries to get control of resources. Countries that were taken over were North Africa, West, East, and South Africa, basically just Africa period. Also, Great Britain wanted India. Many countries fought for power over the other countries. The Age of Imperalism impacted history because it helped cause WW1. -

More about WW1The causes of World War 1 was militarism, aliiances, imperalism, and nationalism. At the beginning of the war the two alliances were the Triple Entente and the Triple Alliance. Then once the war started, the two alliances were Allied Powers and Central Powers. At the end the Allied Powers won and Germany was brutally punished. The war impacted history because it was the first war that used advanced weapons. -
Russian Revolution
More about the Russian RevolutionRussians weren't happy with what was happening to their country and started to become unfaithful to their government and the czar. The governmant had come to an end in March of 1917. Two factions had fought for Russia, the Mensheviks and Bolsheviks; the Bolsheviks won power, soon to be named the Communist Party. The leader of the Communist Party, Vladimir Lenin, made Russia drop out of World War 1. This event impacted history because it had changed Russia completely,
