Attended Ohio Business Week and gave a closing address in front of 300+ people. Faced my fear of public speaking head on and conquered it! It taught me the importance of taking risks and being spontaneous. I was asked 2 hours before I spoke to be a speaker. And I did it. -

Costco during COVID
I worked at Costco Wholesale during the COVID-19 pandemic. This job truly taught me the importance of working with people who want the best for you. I was encouraged to apply to AmeriCorps NCCC after telling my supervisor about this wacky idea I had. They didn't want me to leave, but they wanted me to grow. This photo was during Christmas Eve. We had monthly dress up days at work. I was getting into the festive season with my headband. -
AmeriCorps NCCC
I could write a book about my time in AmeriCorps NCCC. NCCC is a federal gap year service program I participated in last school year. I am who I am today because of this program. I did disaster relief in New Orleans, built homes in South Carolina and Virginia, and built community centers in Mississippi. I learned about the importance of banking and the banking regulation system through a project. I also lived and worked with the same ten people and left the program with ten new family members.
