    Thomas Edison invented the first electric light bulbs. When electricity passes through a light bulb with a certain amount of heat, it will glow. This is important in history because without Thomas Edison we would not have a light bulb.

    The phonograph was only able to play a record a couple times. The phonograph is important because without it we would not have recorded music.

    The tasimeter was a device used to pick up infrared radiation. This means that the tasimeter helps us measure light that we can’t see by measuring changes in temperature. It was important because scientists needed it during a solar eclipse to measure the sun’s light.

    The mimeograph is a copier. The mimeograph’s system was called mimeography. The mimeograph was important because without it we would not have printers.

    The vitascope was an early film which is what they used for movies. The vitascope was important because without it we would not have movies/projectors.
