Baptized
I was baptized when I was six years old. It was, as it is defined, a sign of religious purification. Christianity was and still remains a stronghold in my home and family. My parents and pastor were the ones who help my hand. They expected me to have an understanding of why I was being baptized, and what it would mean for me in my older years. They wanted it to serve as a reminder of the beliefs that were shared with my family.

Grandpa passes away
Just a couple months before my grandfather could hold his first grandson in his arms, he passed away suddenly. I felt as if I couldn't be there for my parents because of how young I was, nor could I fully understand what had happened. I could not attend my grandfather's funeral because my family was unable to pay for 4 plane tickets. -
Ron is born
Just six and a half years after I was born, we added one more to our family of 4, and he was the first son of the entire family in about 10 years after my cousin. We were all very excited to watch him grow and love him every day :)

Piano
I first began piano lessons when I was 6 years old. It was exciting for me because most of my cousins knew how to play the piano, so I was happy that I would be able to play alongside them. I picked up quickly, and attended recitals and concerts with my sister. My parents were happy to see both my sister and I using this experience to bond with one another! They expected me to keep this skill for a very long time, and I have 14 years later! Historical Event: -
Becoming A Leader at Church
I finally became a leader for the young youth at church. I would help guide them in the right path towards accepting Jesus Christ as their saviour. It was such an enlightening experience since both my parents had become leaders at a very young age. They were proud of me, and wanted to watch me grow as God used me to steer the youth :) -
Misdemeanor
This was one of the biggest low points in my life. I hate going into detail about it, but apart from the reason that shoplifiting is so pathetic - I did it on a day when I was shopping with my family on a Sunday evening. I was caught by security, and I felt pathetic, embarrassed and that I had disappointed my parents in so many different ways. I felt disgusting and it remains a lesson that haunts me to this day! My parents were once again the people that were significant in my life. -
My First Job!
I got my first job at the age of 18 on January 17, 2012 at Yogis Grill! It was right across from my high school so I was able to work there every day after school by walking. My parents were very happy for me, as I was becoming more and more independent from them. Though it paid minimum wage, they expected me to be frugal with my money.

High School Graduation
Though it is something that thousands of people experience, I was one of the first children in my extended and immediate family to graduate high school. They expected great things from me, and I can only dream to make them as proud as I have been to be their daughter. -

Academic Probation
This was another huge low point in my life - especially after how hard my parents had worked to put me through college. I became lazy and failed almost 50% of my classes, placing me under academic probation, and having the university seize any and all financial aid. My parents were so disappointed in me, and after that, I promised myself that I would never slack off again. They expected more from me, and they still do. I plan on graduating in 2016 as I planned with I graduated HS! -
GPA
I worked hard to try and raise my GPA and lift my Academic Probation. I ended last semester with a 4.08 and couldn't be any prouder than myself! It was the highest my GPA had been since my sophomore year in HS. My parents were again proud, and we celebrated for my dedication to work for something that I had once taken from granted!
