    The computer didn't start out as a simple screen with a hard drive and a keyboard.     In the late 1930s a German man by the name Konrad Zuse created the first electro-mechanical binary programmable computer know as the Z1. A couple of years later in 1943 a computer named colossus became the first electronic computer the was made for cracking German encryption for the British by Tommy Flowers.

    Two computers that were created in The United Kingdom were able to store data, and even run the first graphical game that was named "baby". One of them was called EDSAC that was created in May 6, 1949 and the other was named Manchester Mark 1 in April 1949.

    One of the first ever companies to get started in this brand new market for computers was a company call Electronic Control Company. Which was created by the same people that built the ENIAC computer. They would go on to rename their company, Eckert-Mauchly Computer Company

    One of the first ever commercial computers was made by Konrad Zuse. He had been working on the Z4. After its creation the Z4 was later sold to Eduard Stiefel, a swedish mathematician.
