The President was worried that a revoultion in Egypt would happen in Syria, and so he made sure that there weren't any protests. He made sure by killing people who were part of thre protests. I think this event is important because this event can turn into an even bigger protest and the President will have more to fear. -

Syria unleashes force on protesters demanding freedom as unrest spreads
Citizens are potesting because they don't have any freedom. Every little protest, is leading many citizens to be killed my government officials. The government isn't doing anything to make the country better. Instead, citizens are struggling even more to survive. I think this event is very important because an event like this, can lead to even more problems and the country just falls apart. -

Not only is Syira fighting for freedom and rights, but also, the two main Muslim religions are going against each other as well. Citizens are mad because the president isn't saying or doing anything about the killing all over Syria. This is an important event because it's not only the protests, but a Civil War in Syria. -

The president, Bashar al-Assad is all say and no do. He wants to do something that will "please the people", but nothing is happening. The arrests are still going on and all the people want is democracy in Syria. I chose this event because the President seems like a lazy person who is "controlling" the country. Because if Assad, Syria is what it is now. -
Syrian soldiers shot for refusing to fire on protesters
As soon as soldiers found out that they were going to shoot their family and friends, they couldn't bare to kill their own blood. Sources say that they got shot for refusing to shoot. The president is refusing about the soldiers death and the media's story. He staetes that they got killed differently. I think this even is important because not only are citizens being killed, but soldiers are too. The revolting is not decreasing, it is only increasing.
