    Cortes conquered Mexico and the Aztecs. It was important because he sparked the intrest of many people to explore North & South America because he found so much gold.

    He was the first to map the Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas. He also made a report of the region. It was important because his map of the coast led to others exploring the land on the Gulf Coast.

    His goal was to search for gold. He discovered the Mississippi River. He explored Florida to Texas. He gave the same basic report that coronado gave. Spain would not return for 150 years because of these reports.

    His goal was to find the 7 cities of gold for spain. He explored 5 states looking for the 7 cities or cibola and later looking for Quivera on the 2nd part of the trip. He discovered the Palo Duro and Grand Canyon.
