He was searching for the seven cities of gold. He searched for Cibola and Quivera. His guide for the second part was Turk, Turk tricked him so Coronado strangled Turk. he discovered the Palo Duro canyon in Texas and the Grand Canyon on Arizona. It is important because he discovered 5 states.
