Learning how to hunt, 8 years of age
Hunting with my dad was the best part of growing up. This point in my life gave me strength and direction. Based on Erickson's stages of development I learned the pleasure of applying myself to a task. The industry vs. inferiority in the school age stage. I learned that if I competed against others in the tasks that my father liked so I could gain more attention form him. My father had little time for us so this was something that I took full advantage. I learned love wasn't free. -
Freedom and Heartache, 18 years of age
For the first time in my life I had freedom to go and explore. With the love of my life next to me began to experience new things together behind the wheel of that little red truck. I was a young adult experiencing love and finding myself. That love is something that I still have today. It paved the way to my adulthood and I have that love again. this point in my life taught me how to gain and lose love, feel pain on a different level. -
Becoming a Man at 42 years of age
As a middle aged adult i have learned to care about people. My sons are what made me into a man. I have lost myself and found myself in different people but returned to the love of my life. I now care for even more people with great joy.This has given me purpose and direction in my life. This point in my life I think of others before myself.
