  • Wix

    Wix
For the blog, I used a site called wix. The reason that I used Wix is that it is an industry standard website making site. This blog would be my means of documenting my whole coursework project.
  • RAJAR

    RAJAR
During the research part of my coursework project, I decided to use RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research) to look into the audience reach of the stations I was researching.
  • Audacity

    Audacity
As well as using the studio for my preliminary task, I used Audacity to edit it. The editing that was done for my preliminary was very basic, and only consisted of trimming and layering.
  • Studio

    Studio
The first time that I used the studio during this coursework piece was to do my preliminary task. When I was going to record my preliminary task, my media tutor came in to the studio with me and gave me a short briefing on how to switch everything on and how it all works. This helped me develop my production skills as it meant that any recording sessions in the future I could just go straight into the studio and record on my own and independently.
  • SurveyMonkey

    SurveyMonkey
I used SurveyMonkey to create an initial questionnaire to send out to people to find out about their attitudes towards and knowledge about local radio.
  • Premiere Pro

    Premiere Pro
I used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit my piece together. Editing tools that I used on Premiere Pro include Crossfade, trimming and adjusting the volume / gain of the footage. I also used Premiere to layer different sounds on to the audio clip, which included the backing track and ambient sounds.
  • iPhone 6S Recording

    iPhone 6S Recording
I used my iPhone 6S to record the ambient sound during the ASDA story and the vox pop in the news bulletin. I decided to use my iPhone 6s rather than a handheld microphone because my iPhone has a noise reduction feature, and the sound didn't need to be of the best quality as it was just ambient sound.
  • YouTube

    YouTube
I got my backing music off YouTube. I tried to look on other sites for backing music but couldn't find any that would be free.
