  • Birth of my little sister, Cassmeen.

Birth of my little sister, Cassmeen.
This was a life-changing event for me because before her birth I was an only child. I would consider Cassmeen to be my first friend with a friendship that would last forever. We are close in age and get in fights, but at the end of the day I know that she's one person I can count on, which makes this an important date in my life.
  • Birth of my little sister, Calissa.

Birth of my little sister, Calissa.
The birth of my second younger sister can be considered another life changing event for me because life afterwards was never the same, in a good way. My two sisters and I are almost always together and basically inseparable. We go through everything together, good and bad, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
  • I moved to Arizona.

    I moved to Arizona.
In 2007, I moved from California to Arizona. Everything was different, schools, neighborhood, environment, and even the weather. Over time I've found myself well adjusted to Arizona and gotten used to everything.
  • My dad went away.

    My dad went away.
When my dad went away it was a real emotional time for me and my family. It was one of the low points in my life that has changed me. After my dad went away nothing was the same and my whole life changed and things were never the same again.
  • Birth of my little sister, Victoria.

Birth of my little sister, Victoria.
The birth of Victoria was a real happy day in my life. I helped my mom out a lot with the new baby, giving me more responsibility. This responsibility has helped me mature and gain some useful life skills.
  • First day of high school.

    First day of high school.
Starting high school was a huge milestone for me. It was a big step closer to adulthood. I started thinking more seriously about my future and realizing that the decisions I make today can be a big impact on my future.
  • First job.

    First job.
When I started my first job, it was real important to me and it also made my mom proud. I started becoming more financially responsible by paying for my own things and saving money. I also gained more responsibility with not allowing my job getting in the way of my schoolwork.
  • Moving into a new house.

    Moving into a new house.
This was an important part of my life because when we moved into our new house it was just my mom, my sisters, and me. I had to really step it up and look after my sisters. We were on our own so I try my best to help my single mom out and moving into our new house was a drastic change, that I would consider positive.
  • First car.

    First car.
All my hard work and dedication paid off when I bought my first car, with a little help from my mom. Emotions of excitement was all I kept feeling when I got my car and the fact that I paid for most of it myself made me feel even more achieved. Earning my first car made me feel already like a successful young adult.
  • Finished sophomore year.

    Finished sophomore year.
Even though this might not seem like a big deal to anyone, it was important to me. On this day, I finished sophomore year, but to me it was I was halfway done with high school. I ended the year with good grades and that was the perfect start to a stress-free summer.
