  • What is a procedure

    Teacher finds out what students prior knowledge is of procedures. Teacher gives examples of different types of procedures eg; recipe, building objects through the use of google images.

    Teacher explicitly looks at types of procedural recipes with students and explain structure of a recipe. Using smartboard to view a recipe structure as a whole class.

  • recipe- ingredients

    Teacher has a focus lesson and explicitly teaches what is required in each part. This lesson is a focus on ingredients. What is needed, amount.

  • recipe- method

    Teacher explicitly teaches how to write a method.

  • putting it all together

    Students write a basic procedure as a whole class.
