    MOM NICU NURSE JULIE
Here is my mother at the same age as myself now 35. I have always looked up to her for being so passionate and caring! She was an amazing nurse and is now retired after 30 years. This started my interests in nursing from a very young age.

From a young age of 5 I would stay in the Palomar “nurses lounge” when I was sick from school and my mom would still work her 12hr shift. Such a thing would never be allowed these days. The nurses would allow me to play with the syringes and stethoscopes. I always have always wanted to be a nurse while watching all of the hospital nurses during their shifts. The nurses that were my moms friend even showed up to my graduation!
  • LOVE FOR SOFTBALL

    LOVE FOR SOFTBALL
From the age of 8 I played competitive national softball which consumed most of my child age years! I loved softball and it was my dream to play for a travel team and travel the world which I did, several times. I’ve always been a team player and worked well with others. This has helped me tremendously throughout my nursing career!

    Coordinator Position
I scored a Clinical Staffing Operations Coordinator Position and worked with everyone to perfect staffing ratios and collaborate with docs for life flight response and the clinical house supervisor. It was a very rewarding role and really showed me the other side of nursing from the administration perspective. I decided it was not for me I like to interact with patients. So I worked 2 12’s in ER and 2 8’s staffing coordinating.

Not knowing it would almost be the end to my nursing due to the pandemic and hell we went through as nurses daily. I feel as if working and seeing this first hand was very hard and really brought me back to my wanting to do something I loved in nursing!
