    • Because of Elijah Mumahhamad influencing Malcolm, he was able to spread the message of the NOI.
    • Malcolm traveled all over U.S to spread the purpose of the NOI.
    • He would influence the crowd by saying, "to seperate from Whie people."
    • Many people joined from the spread of the NOI, from 500 to 30,000 in 1963.

    • Malcolm X broke his relationship with Elijah when he found out he had relationships with younger kids.
    • Elijah silenced Malcolm from public speaking because of remarks towards JFK.
    • He would travel to the Mecca one year later. He would notice Muslims of all colors were worshiping together, whcih caused him to reject the view that all whites were devils.
