  • My First Email

    My First Email
I got my first email account from aol and I made my login trixie9. I have no idea why, but I remember I definitely didn't use it. This was also the time before cable modems, so you had to wait what felt like forever for it dial up and listen to the ear piercing noises it made while doing it.

    Cell Phone
I got my first cell phone in 9th grade. I was so excited to not have to share one with my mom or dad. With three older siblings, I wasn't allowed to get one until I started high school. It was a flip phone, it didn't have text messages, but I could finally play snake without worrying about running down my mom's battery!

  • Computer Tech

I had to take two different computer tech course in high school. We learned how to use different features on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It amazing how much these skills have actually helped me. I work with woman who is 76 years old and I constantly have to explain to her how to use Word.
  • My First Personal Computer

  • College Online Courses

I got pregnant half way through my first year at Marshall. Luckily, I didn't need to take a semester or year off because Marshall offers online courses. I was able to stay a full time student with a newborn.
  • iPhone for the Win

    iPhone for the Win
I finally got an iPhone right before I graduated with my bachelors degree. This new phone was amazing. It could hold my pictures, my music, social media, text messages, emails and make phone calls. I didn't need to carry around 4 other things all the time, like my iPod, camera, Kindle, and phone. I am still a iPhone carrier to this day.
