My GenZ Tech

    CD Player

For a long time I didn't have a lot of technology of my own and always used my friends. The CD player was one of those. Made in the 1980s but still heavily popular when I grew up I always wanted one. And had even collected CDs for when I'd get my own!

    Smartphone

Growing up I always had a prepaid flip phone. And even that was exciting. However my first Smartphone felt the coolest to me. I can remember almost each year asking my parents for a new phone and then when I finally got into high school I got my first smartphone. It was so much fun to play games, look up information, or do whatever on just one device.

    XBOX 360

A real turning point in gaming, for the industry and also for me personally. Although I also enjoyed other system using my XBOX for gaming, watching shows or just talking to friends felt revolutionary at the time. And although things like the Kinnect didn't quite stick I can appreciate the fun I'd had with the technology at the time. To this day I'll boot up my 360 or play some 360 games that are backwards compatible on the latest console.

    Kindle Basic

When I was younger I was gifted one of the earlier Kindles. Though I had completely forgotten this and could not remember me using it much. It's been my biggest new purchase lately and it's been a game changer for reading. The lighting helps on your eyes, even at night and being able to access your library whenever is delightful. Although I do prefer a physical book, the Kindle is just more practical and changes the game for reading.

    MacBook Pro (2020)

Growing up I'd went an elementary school that primarily used apple products. Mac was my real first introduction with a computer as well as the laptops. Since then I think I've always gravitated to wanting a MacBook of my own. It's a sleek design, with nice a nice keyboard and cool thin touchpad at the top of the keyboard that makes things even more accessible. I can see myself using it for years to come.
