    The Day I Was Born
    I was born in Greenwich Hospital Surrounded by family as the first child of Robin and John Greene. after 10 hours of back labor my mom was rushed into an emergency C section the doctors had discovered I had inhaled meconium burning a hole between my heart and my lung after surviving surgery. This cure became a blessing resisting me from ever smoking. I had to then stay in the hospital for 7 days until I was finally able to go home to my first home in Sherman Connecticut.

    My Brothers came in to my world
    Nate was born in Greenwich Hospital which for a while I saw as the worst day of my life, my brother Nathanael Richard Greene was born. Days leading up to this day my mom had given me a pregnant barbie to try to explain that I was getting a permanent playmate. So, up until June 22, I was pretty excited. but, when my mom handed me a boy I looked right back at her and said: “can't we exchange him for a girl, I want a sister”. Looking back now I am so happy he wasn't a girl.

    The first time on skis
    The winter I turned 4 years old my mom put me on my first pair of little skis and with a harness hooked up to her. We went up to the chair lift at Thunder Ridge Ski mountain and I was able to fly for the first time. This was the first time I got a glimpse of my love for skiing and it never stopped. This love followed me to the present day. Every Saturday and Sunday if there's snow on the ground I'm on the slopes.
  • Dyslexia

    Dyslexia
    I was repeating a second grade because I was diagnosed with Dyslexia. This was the first time in my life a teachers, schools, my piers and my parents understood why I couldn't read. I finally came to the realization that I didn't have a "stupid brain" and I wasn't the one failing the school was. This was the first time school teachers believed in me. I continued at that school for the rest of second grade and third. Unfortunately the school did close and I again had to move schools.
  • Ski racing

    At 8 years old, I began my completive ski race path on the developmental Thunder Ridge Race team. From the age of 8-10 every Saturday and Sunday my best friend at the time and I was on the mountain. This program was the opening gate to my love for going fast. We learned the basic fundamentals of racing before moving up to the "major leagues" as we thought at the time, the Connecticut race team to then tristate and high school.
  • Divorce

    Divorce
    I am 9 years old and we are in Walt Disney World at my brother’s 5th birthday celebration and my parents decide to get a divorce because they just can’t get along. For years that had fought and they had finally decided to split. When we get home my father moves to the lake house and we stay in the big house with our mom. This change wasn't easy having two of everything, leaving things and moving things from one house to another had become the usual.
  • New school

    New school
    I transferred to Hudson Country Montessori school because Melrose closed. This school was small and individualized learning which is just what i needed. When I arrived my grade consisted of 12. That number dwindled down over the years to eventually only five in my 8th grade. This school wasn't big but it gave me my best friend, jessica. We have been each others rocks since day one through the rough and the easy times. I continued through this school till 8th grade .
  • End of middle school

    I graduated 8th grade from Montessori school with a grade size of 5 and a middle schools 12. I was leaving an e school which had not desks and everyone learned at there own pace to a school of desks in rows and a curriculum. l prepared to return to public school in Brewster High School to a class of over 200. This was extremely nerve-racking. I didn't know anyone and was terrified of people thinking I was stupid. but on that September day, I woke up and went to my first day of high school.
  • First job

    First job
    I started my first job, a Hillside Summer Camp Counselor in Training in Southeast, NY. I had been a camper for a years but, I had got to the age where I needed to make the transition from a camper to a counselor. I had made the transition to a counselor where I had to be a leader and responsible. This was the first time i realized that some people are leaders and some are not. This was the only year I worked at hillside after I went to jobs that are on my career path.
  • Ski instructor

    After years of racking for Connecticut I had aged out but wanted to continue with racing in some way. I began teaching Ski instruction to the Thunder Ridge Development Race team as well as patrons of the race mountain. I was able to teach kids from age 6-10 how to not only ski but fall in love with the sport of ski racing. Every sat and sun I go help kids Explore my passion of ski racing and fall in love with skiing right where I did each kid over and over again.
  • Acl and maniacs

    Acl and maniacs
    Over the summer before my junior year, I had begun the volleyball camp that I partake in every year. On the first day of Volleyball camp in a drill I fell and tore my meniscus and ACL. This fall resulted in surgery August 23rd, 2018 followed by intense physical therapy and not skiing for the first time since I was 4 years old. Not skiing had never even crossed my mind before. Although I count put skis on I count stay away form the mountain. So, I worked as the mountain ambassador.
