My Life

  • The Day I Was Born

    The Day I Was Born
On Monday, August 12th, 2002, I was born in Woodside Queens, New York. My parents and my older brother PJ lived in Patterson New York, but my mom wanted her favorite doctor from her hometown to perform her C-section. I was born at 8:10am, weighed 5lbs and 8oz and quickly grew up to, what I believe, the favorite child in the family :)
  • The Tooth

    The Tooth
In third grade, I went to a bay with my cousins. There was a mini water park at the bay with a few slides and sprinklers. Before the bay closed we went to the waterpark. The sprinklers were off but there was still water on the ground, so we decided to dump buckets of water on each other. I turned around to dump water my cousin, but she was not there. I banged my face right into a pole and I caught my tooth. All I wanted for Christmas was my two from teeth. I still only have one and a half.
  • Jack Thomas

On June 1st, 2009, my little brother was born. On Thanksgiving of 2008, my mom told me and my brother she was going to have a baby and I said " you aren't having a baby, you don't have a big belly." I soon realized she was getting a big belly. My dad asked me if I wanted a little brother or sister and I said "a little brother so I could be daddy's little girl." I still am daddy's little girl, but Jack is the baby of the family, and he sure does use that to his advantage.
  • Varsity Swim

    Varsity Swim
In 7th grade, I tried out for the varsity swim team. I have been swimming for as long as I can remember. My brother made the swim team since 7th grade and I wanted to be just like him. I worked so hard all summer making sure I could pass all the qualifications and to swim a 500 in under 8 minutes to officially make the team. I swam the 500 to make the team in 7 minutes and 32 seconds and made the team. Since I joined the team I have beat personal records and found a second family.
  • Fear.

    Fear.
Last year I went to get a regular physical at the doctor. The doctor said something looked off about my throat and I needed to get blood done very soon. After, they called me back and said I had a blood abnormality and needed to see a specialist, there was a possibly I had thyroid cancer. I do not have thyroid cancer but that being a possibility was very scary for me. You don't realize the important things until you feel you are at risk to lose them and I thought I was going to lose everything.
  • Uncle Rob

    Uncle Rob
Two years from June will be the anniversary of my Uncle Rob's death. My uncle started getting very sick, he was in the hospital for months. One step in a good direction would bring him two steps back the next day. After he passed I felt like my mom wasn't the same. She cried more and smiled less. His funeral was the first time I ever saw my dad cry. I felt like my uncle Rob wasn't around much, but I never realized how many lives he impacted. We all know he is in a better place watching over us.
  • College

    College
For the last 16 years of my life, I have lived with my older brother PJ. Just like any siblings, we fight, a lot. But he is truly my best friend, I tell him absolutely everything, we even work at the same place. I never thought him going away to college would be so hard, but it was. He was going to bootcamp for two weeks at Maritime College, and he couldn't have his phone. From talking and living with him everyday, to not speaking for two weeks was harder than I imagined.
  • First Broken Bone

    First Broken Bone
This past summer I played for a basketball team. The coach was also the coach for the varsity team for the school. Me and my friends were talking about how nervous we were to tryout for varsity. Right before the game I whispered to one of my friends, "I kinda hope I get hurt so i get put on the team by default and not have to tryout, but that won't happen because I've never broken a bone. I left the game with a broken wrist but I also made the team. Next time, I will just tryout.
  • Patterson Rec

    Patterson Rec
My first real job I got at the Patterson Rec Center. I used to go there when I was younger for camp. I knew everyone that worked there. My brother got a job there when he was 16, I still want to be just like him, so when I turned 16 i got a job there too. I have made so many new friends and not many people can say this, but I really like going to work. Not only because i make money, but it is also a fun place to be at.

On March 14, 2019, I took my road test. I was previously taking drivers ed for months before that but it ended a month before I took my test, so I was really nervous. I practiced everyday. The day came up so fast. I took my test, literally shaking. I ended up getting a perfect score. My parents were very happy they now had another chauffeur in the family
  • First Cruise

    First Cruise
I have never been on a cruise and the last time I was on a plane I was too young to remember. I went on my first cruise to Bermuda only a few weeks ago in April 2019. I got sea sick the first night because I was not used to the rocking on the ship when I woke up. I was petrified to get on the ship, mainly because I watch the "Titanic" all the time. But overall, I had an amazing experience with my family. I ate so much food and saw beautiful scenery that I will never forget.
