The Aztecs arrived in Mexico's central valley. Some people believe that the Aztecs' sacrifces and cannibalism had to do with the lack of meat and protien in the Aztecs' deit. -

Francisco Hernández de Córdoba
Francisco Hernández de Córdoba was the first european to visit Mexico territory. With about 100 men, he traveled from Cuba to Yucatán. The native people of Yucatán did not bond well with the Spanish and ended up killing about 50 of the Spanish and capturing several others. Luckily, Francisco Hernández de Córdoba survived and made it back to Cuba. He died in 1526. -
