Call for Revolution
Catholic Priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla lead a call for revolution that officially started the Mexican Revolution, Grito de Dolores. -
The Siege of Guanajuato
An angry Mexican insurgentes lead by Miguel Hidalgo battled against the spanish. Miguel Hidalgo and his people captured the Alhondiga de Garnaditas.
El Pípila helped the indians and he was known as their hero. -
Battle of Monte de las Cruces
Battle joined between Trujillo and his small force.This battle was a victory for the insurgents because Trujillo failed to drive the insurgent army away from Mexico City. -

The Battle of Calderon Bridge
The Battle of Calderon Bridge was fought on January 17, 1811 and it was really important for the Mexican War of Independence. Many Mexican revolutionist lead by Ignacio Allende, Juan Aldama, Miguel Hidalgo and Mariano Abasolo attacked Royalist troops on banks near Zapotlanejo Jalisco. -
Execution of Hidalgo
Miguel Hidalgo was executed by a firing squad. His head was displayed in Guanajuato as a warning to the insurgents and rebels. -
The Congress of Chilpancingo
Jose Maria Morelos lead an assembly at Chilpancingo, which declared the Mexican independence and went on to the creation of a new constitution and set up a revolutionary government. In 1815 Morelos was also captured, defrocked and executed. -
Battle of Temalca
A battle of the Mexican Independence war around the area of Temalca, Puebla. This battle was lead by Jose Maria Morelos who was later captured and executed by the spanish. -
El Plan de Iguala
El Plan de Iguala also recognized as the Ejercito de las Tres Garantias was lead by Agustin Iturbide and the successful troops of Vicente Guerrero. -

Treaty of Cordoba
Iturbide and the Spanish viceroy, Juan O’Donojú, signed the Treaty of Córdoba on a town in Veracruz agreeing to withdraw their troops and ended the dependence of New Spain on Spain. -
Declaration of Independence
Rebel Army enters Mexico City to Declare Independence
Iturbide marched into the capital with Vicente Guerrero and Guadalupe Victoria and the army. After 300 years of Spanish rule Mexico was independent.
