Newspaper
Although I don't recall much about newspapers at the time, I remember my grandparents reading them and then my mother getting the entertainment section, where she would answer the crossword while the kids were interested in the horoscope and the comic. -
Children's Book
My mother used to buy me this type of book when it was cheap, and I don't think it will cost more than a hundred pesos before. I also remember reading the English text to my cousin, flexing my reading skills. Before my favorite stories are Goldilocks and the Three Bears and the Rat and the Cheese. -
Radio
There was no cellphone with songs we wanted to listen to before, but there is now a radio. Although it was designed to share information, I only use it to listen to songs while cleaning the house with my mother. Then I'll sing along and maybe even dance. -
Old Television
We rely on the cable that we have in this old television, and there are only a few channels. You can only watch local channels, and if there is a typhoon, you won't be able to watch television because there may be no signal. I think the only channels we used to watch were ABS-CBN and GMA, and we used to watch anime or cartoons every morning. -
Keypad Cellphone
My mother used to have this type of cellphone, and every adult in our house does. I think it was only used for communication and entertainment; I recall borrowing their phone and playing the snake or ball game. I presume some keypad phones have cameras, but the picture quality is poor. -
Old Computer
We used to have a computer, but my brothers used it frequently, and when I used it once, I became very interested. I've even taken my allowance to a computer store to play random games on Y8 and Friv. This very nostalgic game turns me into a computer addict for a short time. I then used computers to complete my assignments, such as printing pictures, searching, etc. -
Youtube
I came across this online platform while waiting for someone to finish his turn on the computer; he was watching a children's video. So I became intrigued and continued to watch it while working on my assignment. Because of this platform, I discovered many toys that I wished to own; fortunately, I was able to have one. -
CD and DVD
We buy CDs and DVDs to watch movies; earlier, there were no platforms to watch movies other than television; however, if you have this, you can watch it whenever you want. I remember having a CD full of Jollibee and Barbie episodes, and we even have a collection of these in a box, though almost everything is corrupted. -
Facebook
My grade 2 adviser told us to make a Facebook account so that we could easily notify everyone if there would be classes and explore social media. However, my first account was hacked because I forgot to log out after using it in a computer shop. -
Smart TV
A smart TV differs from a standard flat screen TV in that it allows you to connect your laptop or phone and watch something. You also don't need cables as long as you have internet; you can use this to watch YouTube and Netflix, and even to present in class. A projector is no longer needed is you have a large smart TV. -
Wattpad
This social platform is my favorite because it allows me to read e-books while still allowing me to have a hard copy. My friend suggested this platform because she knows how much I enjoy reading. I've been using this platform for a while now; I just have to discipline myself on what and when to read because many non-wattpad users frequently misunderstand the platform's essence. -
Android phone
Apart from communication and entertainment, Android phones can also be used to take great pictures, search for information in the same way that computers do, and even watch broadcasting media. I used to have a cheap brand phone that was still convenient; it took me four years to replace it, despite the fact that the quality was inferior to the expensive brand. My brother gave it to me when I graduated from elementary school. -
Office 365
Despite the fact that I discovered this software prior to this year, I learned a lot about 365 office this year. This is one of the computer lessons from freshmen year, and I would say that this media really helps everyone a lot. Projector
Since I was in a private school during junior high, we usually used the AVR room, where we could watch lessons for 5 pesos. We were able to watch educational videos with the help of the projector, especially in science class. When compared to DVDs and CDs, this platform is far superior; you can watch movies that are complete and of higher quality. You can watch it with your friends and family on cellphones, computers, or even your smart TV. In my spare time, I used to spend weekends watching Kdrama and old movies. -
Google Meet (Online Class)
When the pandemic struck, almost everyone turned to this platform to continue their work and education even if they were at home. They use this to create a new normal in which the media is the only source for surviving the pandemic and carrying on with what should be carried on. -
Google Classroom
This social platform is used by teachers and students to share their lessons and activities. This is the best platform, especially if there are too many students in class and Facebook Messenger is not enough to handle. This platform will also remind you of your activity's deadlines. -
Laptop
I remember singing to my sister to get me my own laptop for Christmas because it was so techy to upload something online with a phone. Despite the fact that we have a computer, my brother uses it and occasionally brings the old laptop. It was a relief to have a laptop because, aside from its convenience, it allows me to work more efficiently than using a phone. -
Call of Duty
Even though I don't play this game, I frequently hear my friends discussing it. They can play with both friends and strangers in an interactive play media. When there are new upgrades, some of my friends want to buy them with real money. I tried playing this and even mobile legends, but it's not for me; I'll get a headache and my eyes will hurt while playing. -
Flixtor
I just found out about this platform because I want to watch animated movies that aren't available on Netflix. A friend recommended this website where I can watch movies and TV shows on my laptop for free. Although there are advertisements and you must be patient because I genuinely think the site is already old and not everyone uses it.
