An important event that happened during the time was the extreme violence. During the whole war 7 million people died due to the war. An important individual was Tariq Ibn Ziyad who was the commander of the Muslim Army and responsible for many of these deaths.

    The reason why this war started was because the Christians wanted the Holy Land, which is the land where Jesus was buried and where people found that he was still alive, but the Muslims controlled this land instead. An important event that happened during the time period of the Child Crusades generation was as they traveled, trying to get to the Holy Land, no one made it. They were all killed or turned into slaves.

The Holy Land is in Israel which is where Jesus died and was reborn and where this fight took place. The most recent event of the war was in 2021 where Palestine launched boarder attacks on Israel. This shows that the war still continues today after about 80 years of conflict. One important person is Ariel Sharon, who is the governor of the Palestine.

And an important event that happened during this time period was the Battle of Arghandab, the US gave Mujaheddin ( He fights for the Democratic Party of Afghanistan) weapons such as guns ammo and even some money.

    Both Taraki and Mujaheddin are key people because they both play a big part in fighting in this war. As Taraki asked for help from the Soviet Empire with the war they declined his ask to invade Afghanistan. The result is that the Soviet Empire Fell in 1991 which lead to the formation of Al Qaeda. The US supported Mujaheddin but caused 911 by giving them our same power.

    There are two groups, the Shias and the Sunnis, and although the Sunnis were the majority, the Shias had more power, this upset the Sunnis which lead to the war. The war mainly took place in Syria but spread to other Arab countries overtime. An important event that elevated the war was in 2011, President Bashar Al Assad, beat, abused, and imprisoned 15 people who committed relatively small vandalism acts. An important individual is Bashar Al Assad who backs up the Shias like Barak Obama.

    Although, there isn't a result yet for this conflict it has lead millions of Syrian citizens to become refugees to other countries because the violence is so bad. Streets, homes, school, and hospitals look like a natural disaster has ripped through. This war continues today.
