Christianity is most dominant in the global South region, about 31% of the world population are Christians. One aspect that separates this religion from others is their religion revolves around one god. They are also the only religion that has God born as a human. Another aspect is that there is a holiday (That is still celebrated today) in honor of the birth of Jesus, called Christmas. The name of Christianity's religious symbol is called The Cross. -

Islam is dominant in the Asia- Pacific and the Middle East. Today, around 24% of today's population are Muslims. Two aspects that separates the religion from the rest is that they pray five times a day facing Mecca. Mecca is the place where it was founded in 610 AD. The name of their religious symbol is called the Crescent and Star. -

The two fighting were the Christians and the Muslims and that is because the Christians felt threatened that the Muslims had more land than them. This took place in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain). An important event that happened during the time was the extreme violence. During the whole war 7 million people died due to the war. An important individual was Tariq Ibn Ziyad who was the commander of the Muslim Army and responsible for many of these deaths. -

Reconquista Part 2
The result of this war was that many of the Muslims were either killed or converted into Christians. The Christians were more successful and controlled the Iberian Peninsula. -

The Crusades Part 1
The reason why this war started was because the Christians wanted the Holy Land, which is the land where Jesus was buried and where people found that he was still alive, but the Muslims controlled this land instead. The war took place in the Eastern Mediterranean, which is West of Africa. An important event that happened during the time period of the Child Crusades generation was as they traveled, trying to get to the Holy Land, no one made it. They were all killed or turned into slaves. -

One significant individual that was the leader of the Muslims who was called Caliph Umar. He is important because he kept the Holy Land protected from the Christians. The result of the conflict was the Christians never got control of the Holy Land and that the Muslims won. -

An important event that happened during this time period was the Battle of Brettenfeild, which occurred September 17th 1631. One important individual was Ferdinand the second, he started the war and was a big part in fighting. -

Russia (Christans) wanted control of the border to the Black Sea to invade Persia and the Persian Empire, who are Christian. The war is between the Russians (who are Christians) and the Circasians (Who are Muslims). This took place in Circassia ( near Russia, SE of Ukraine). An important factor was that during this war, 1.5 million people were killed. That is 97% of the Circassian population. -

The reason of this conflict is because both the Muslims and Jews wanted to have control of the Holy Land. The Holy Land is in Israel which is where Jesus died and was reborn and where this fight took place. The most recent event of the war was in 2021 where Palestine launched boarder attacks on Israel. This shows that the war still continues today after about 80 years of conflict. One important person is Ariel Sharon, who is the governor of the Palestine. -

Ariel Shannon also fought and led the Lebanon invasion. The war still hasn't been resolved but there has been attempts of solving the conflict with a peace treaty that lasted for 7 years before. This war still continues today. -

This war started because a man named Muhammad Taraki became the new president and created laws such as people can't practice Islam. This upset many Muslim people leading this to a war between Muslims and Christians. This war took place in Afghanistan. And an important event that happened during this time period was the Battle of Arghandab, the US gave Mujaheddin ( He fights for the Democratic Party of Afghanistan) weapons such as guns ammo and even some money. -

Both Taraki and Mujaheddin are key people because they both play a big part in fighting in this war. As Taraki asked for help from the Soviet Empire with the war they declined his ask to invade Afghanistan. The result is that the Soviet Empire Fell in 1991 which lead to the formation of Al Qaeda. The US supported Mujaheddin but caused 911 by giving them our same power. -

Syrian Civil War Part 1
There are two groups, the Shias and the Sunnis, and although the Sunnis were the majority, the Shias had more power, this upset the Sunnis which lead to the war. The war mainly took place in Syria but spread to other Arab countries overtime. An important event that elevated the war was in 2011, President Bashar Al Assad, beat, abused, and imprisoned 15 people who committed relatively small vandalism acts. An important individual is Bashar Al Assad who backs up the Shias like Barak Obama. -

Although, there isn't a result yet for this conflict it has lead millions of Syrian citizens to become refugees to other countries because the violence is so bad. Streets, homes, school, and hospitals look like a natural disaster has ripped through. This war continues today.
