Mohammed was born in 570 CE. His Father died before he was born, his mother also died when Mohammed was about 8 years old. -

Kaaba Shrine
The Kaaba Mosque predates Islam, It was allegedly built by angles to have a reflection of heaven on earth. According to Islamic beliefs it was built by Ibraham and Ishmael as orderd by Allah. The mosque contains the black stone and ZamZam (Really built during Abraham's time - set to 610 so it won't stretch out the timeline) -

Night of Power and Excellence
During his first Divine Revelation, Allah spoke to Mohammed through the Archangel Gabriel, who told him to recite verses from the later-to-be Quran. -

Problems in Mecca
Gabriel instructed Mohmmed to preach this message in Mecca:
1) God is one.
2) He is all-powerful.
3) He is the creator of the universe.
4) There is a jedgement day.
5) Rewards of Paradise & punishments of Hell.
At first, he was mocked or ignored, although he slowly started to gain a following. After he spoke out more aggressively, which led to Quraish clan leaders feeling threatened, he started recieving threats on his life. -

Reclaiming Mecca
After leaving Mecca, Muhammed and his folowers had their land taken from them. They destroyed the idols inside the Kaaba and reclaimed it for God. Muhammed could have stayed and ruled Mecca as a king but left and returned to Medina. -

Death of Muhammad
In 632 AD he made his last pilgriamge to Mecca and last sermon at Mount Arafat . After the sermon he returned to Medina where he died June 8, 632 AD, he was then burried in Medina. -
Death of Mohammed's Grandfather
Mohammed's Grandfather was taking care of him after his mothers death. After his Grandfather died he was placed under the care of his uncle Abu Talib. Who was a wealthy caravan trader and a head of the Banu Hashim, which is a clan of the Quraish tribe. The Quraish tribe was the dominant tribe in Mecca at the introduction of Islam -
Marriage to Khadija
Mohammed married Khadija at the age of 25, and with her had two boys (who both passed away) and four girls. -
al-Amin
A title Mohammed earned after aquiring a reputation for an excellent arbitrator, meaning "the just" or "the trustworthy". This reputation later led to being proposed to by Khadija. -
Mount Hira
A cave near Mecca in which the locals meditated at for weeks every year. -
Caravan Trade
Mohammed's Uncle was a caravan trader. This exposed him to many other ways of life, including that of christians and Jews. This is the first time monotheism was introduced into the middle east
