It started August 21st in 1791. Motivated by the French Revolution the Slaves wanted to break away from their masters. The African slaves started to revolt against their French/White masters. Tousaint L'Oeverture became a general to fight for the slaves. -

When Tousaint was taken out of his position and sent to prison, his lieutenant Jean-Jacques Dessalines declared independance for Haiti. -

Miguel Hidalgo gathered the peasants into his church and convinced them to revolt against the Spanish. The next day the Indians and Mestizos protested and marched toward Mexico City. -

Jose de San Martin and Bernardo o'Higgins men joined with Bolivar's army and they drove the remaining Spanish out of Lima, Peru. Bolivar's jointed army defeated the Spanish at the Battle of Ayacucho (Peru) and Declared the independence.
