Mexico owed a lot of money to France and Juarez did his best in order to pay it but it wasn’t enough so they got angry and using this as an excuse they attempted to invade Mexico and take over it but failed. -

The conservatives in Mexico didn’t think Mexico could govern itself so they tried to make a foreigner governor come over, they got Maximiliano de Habsburgo who had the support of France,suddenly France stopped supporting him and the liberals saw the chance and took it so they decapitated him and his wife in order to get rid of them. -
