    The Haitian revolution began by slaves wanting freedom. They did not want to be slaves of the French because it was unfair to them. This revolution revolved around slaves, the lowest class, being leaders. More specifically, the top leaders were Toussaint L’Ouverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines.

    In the Haitian revolution, the slaves were fighting against the French. The revolution ended with the Haiti becoming its own. The revolution was in fact successful. Although they had some bad outcomes, they still gained their independence against the French.
