~today we use an engine that runs on gasoline instead of the steam engine.

~steamboats allowed easy travel at a greater speed for things such as perishable goods, they also became very valuable during the civil war helping the union dominate the nations waterways.
~yes, steamboats are still used today but they are more efficent and reliable.

Railroad

Additionall, the invention of the railroad helpe the economy o early america by transforming dangerous month journies into a short several day trip.
~Railroads are still used today, we can take the train into NYC.

Erie Canal

~this became a very important canal in american society, it would become one of the busiest ports. at one point in american more than 50,000 people depended on this canal. this was a very popular form of transportation.
~today the canal still has its former glory, and is filled with pleasure boats, fisherman and cyclists.

Mechanical Reaper

~this automatically cut, threshed and bundled grain while being pulled by a horse this is a significant agricultural invention that revolutionized farming. For hundreds of years farmes and slaves had to manually farm by hand, this invention let wheat be harvested quicker wih a much less labor force. harvesting an acre of land used to take an enire workday, with the mechanical reaper this time is shortened.
~this is still used today, obviously a more advanced version.

Steel Plow

~The steel plow was the first step to making the farm equiptment we know toda. This tool finally alowed farmers to plant enough crops to feed our growing nation. Not to mention that this invention was more time and energy efficent.

~this allows people to send messages over a radio or something, bothe this and the morse code revolutionized communication in the 1800's of America. Addionally Morse Code was a vital factor in winning the Civil war. This system benefitted the country as a whole and allowed infromation to travel faster.
~today we use things like email instead of telograph

~this invention enabled people to transmit messages almost instantly and makes communication easier and simpler. Just like the telograph this is the code used to help win the War. and eabled better communication.

Vulcanized Rubber

~This invention helped the Industrial Revolution in America, and also the invention of tires came from vulcanized rubber. Since this was te rubber used in the creation of tires it ulimatle enabled better transportation and faster.
~Today we still use some vulcanized rubber in products such as shoes, but a majority of the rubber is synthetic rubber.

Sewing Machine
