Industrial Revolution
The industrial revolution began with textile machines.The machines turned cotton into yarn.Cotton became America's biggest support.Entrepreneurs used machines to change how people worked.Francis Lowell built a mill that changes cotton into cloth. The Industrial Revolution resulted in a ton of new inventions, like steam-powered engines. In result of the child labor people realized that you can't put five year olds to work in mills and coal mines. -
Imperialism
The desire or tendency of extending control of one country over another territory. Imperialism has man countries that has problems that can be blamed on imperialism. Imperialism created animosity between countries that were once imperialists and the countries they once colonized. -
World War 1
World War 1 was a watershed moment for America, a time when an isolationist nation involved itself in world affairs and began the rise to the economic and military power that America is today.World War 1 started after the Archduke of Austro-Hungarian empire was assassinated in Sarajevo on June 28, 1914 by a group of Serbian nationalists. The Central Powers and the Allied Powers were involved.It ended when the Germans agreed in Nov 1918 to sign an agreement to end the war, and the Treaty.
