The Sinclair ZX80(Jim Westwood)
This computer was just a small at-home assembled computer that wasn't very useful but it was still really cool at the time. It was made of plastic or metal and had a keyboard and plug-in ports. -
Seagate ST506 hard disc drive (Seagate Technology/Shugart Technology)
This was the first disc drive for microcomputers and it held up to 5 megabytes of data(5x more than a floppy disc). It fits into the spot of a floppy disc and was a huge success selling 4 million years within the first few years. I can't find an exact release date for this but it was in late 1981 so I am putting on a random date because it is required. -
CD(James Russell)
The CD changed the way people watched movies, listened to music, and stored information. Before people used vinyl, cassettes, floppy discs, and VCR tapes. It allowed a different way to view what you wanted and the sound was better and visuals were better. -
Microsoft Windows(Bill Gates)
Microsoft Windows took the world by storm and changed a lot for graphical user interfaces. It was originally used as a graphical operating shell for MS-DOS. -
Game Boy(Gunpei Yokoi)
The game boy had a big impact on people. It was pretty much a small portable gaming computer/ arcade game. Gamers no longer had to be at home or go to arcades to play some of their favorite games. They were able to play games on the go! So many people loved and still do love Game Boys.
