- This was a law that required that all escaped slaves were, upon capture, to be returned to their masters and that officials and citizens of free states had to cooperate in this law.
- This was important because, it changed how slaves lived if they had escaped and chnaged how the world saw slaves and their masters.

- This was a package of 5 bills that were passed which helped solve some problems for slave and free states. -This was important because this solved issues between the slave states and non slave states after the Mexican- American war.

- This was, a landmark desision by the U.S. Supreme court the court held african american slaves wheather they were enslaved or free and, they could not be American citizens and therefore had no standing to sue in federal court.

- This event was important because, it pused the southern and northern parts away from each other and was the start of the Civil War.

- This was a proclamation that stated that all persons held as slaves within the rebellious states shall be free.
- This was important becuase it finally let everyone be equal at least with their rights and how african americans were treated as humans.

- This was a speech given by Abraham Lincoln which he gave at, a cemetery for Union soldiers that were killed at the Battle Of Gettysburg during the American Civil War.
- This was important because, it was trying to make peace for the war that had happened and to move on to greater things not anymore wars so it was like a peace speech.

13th Amendment
- This was, an amendment that stated that neither slavery or involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
- This was important because it ended slavery formally.

- This was an amendment which stated that all persons born or naturalized in the United States gained citizen ship.
- This was important because it granted everyone who was accepted to be a citizen let them become a citizen.

-This was an amendment that stated that all citzens had the right to vote no matter race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
- This was important because it officaly made every thing equal with everyone.
