    A favoured trip for Wealthy young English men to have the opportunity to travel to places like France and Italy to complete their education.It was viewed as a rite of passage for these men to experience new sights, cultures and people unlike they’ve seen before. It was a great way to experience the world with a hands on approach rather than seeing it in text books in school, it dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries becoming very fashionable to take the grand tour. Women were later involved.

    Spa towns are a relaxing resort, centered around a mineral spa which are often used for health benefits. The Romans realized the benefits of spa towns in the UK as bath and Buxton became much more popular between the 1700's and 1800's. they centered there focus on the Spa towns when they realized the massive health benefits from the natural mineral waters that bubbled up from the solid ground. After there focus was on the spa towns they became centers of high fashion very exclusive to the rich.

    when the spa towns began to get popular people started to slowly realize that the same benefits they got from the spa towns could also be found within the sea. This caused places like Blackpool, Brighton and Scarborough to start getting popular fast and Sea side resorts began to get popular. Although travelling there was quite expensive but then in the early 1800's steamboats from London were introduced and that created the built piers we know today.

    Building railways began to form in the early 1830's with them firstly beginning between the big cities and wide coats. as they began to get more and more popular by 1840's only 10 years after being built with 51 million passengers a year. Different Entrepreneurs started to begin to organize different trips using the rail roads down to the sea side which started to get very popular. around this time people around the UK began to have time off work more often which created a boom in UK tourism.

    Born in Moscow, on the 23rd of May 1922, Raitz had previously worked as a important agency journalist before quote "hitting" on his brainwave. By fully cutting costs and offering full packages, he could smartly sell Mediterranean holidays to others, and that meant the full vast majority of Britons, who had never thought or even dreamt of any kind of foreign world travel.

    In the 1930s the first ever holiday camp was created in Skegness by Billy Butlin and Butlins was one of the most popular holiday camps with food options along with competitions that people could join.This holiday camp is still available for family’s to visit. But, during the 1970s tourism to the holiday camp began to decline though some family’s still enjoyed it.As some still enjoyed this camp, Centre Parcs came to the UK in 1987 as a new European resort and is still a popular place to visit.

The actual first abroad package holiday was to Corsica, France in 1950 to 32 camping.

    usually people used to go to travel agents to book there holidays, from hotels to flights and travel the travel agents would book it all for you. but now people can do that all from there devices such as there phones or laptops people can do it from there homes. from your device you can even look for advised reviews of wherever your looking to visit. the increase of technology had created a decrease in customers for travel agents now that people simply book there holidays at home.

    Back in 1997 'low cost' airlines popularity sky rocketed, easy jet and Ryan air have kept growing and over expanding there business and airlines for over the past 20 years. Budget airlines are much more likely to use these airports; Bristol and Stansted are a lot cheaper than using a way much bigger airport such as Heathrow and Gatwick as they and more popular and more expensive. traveling has become more affordable from the choice and competitions of airlines
