Columbus' First Voyage
Columbus' pupose was to find Spain a shorter and all-water route to Asia. Instead of doing that,he ended up in The Bahahmas. It was important because Columbus brought back a good word about what he thought was Asia. He came back with small amounts of gold to show the richness of "Asia". In this case Spain sent out more men to explore in the soon future. -

DeVaca's leader was Panfilo de Narvaez. The purpose of the expedition was to colonize the area between Flordia and Mexico. -

The men got on Galveston Island by crashing due to a gale. DeVaca was stranded there for eight years. He met the Karankawas and two more tribes. -

Fray Marcos and Esteban Journey
The purpose of Fray Marcos and Esteban's journey was to find the seven cities of gold and prove that they exist. Esteban had died by demanding things like women to the natives. That made the natives really upset. Fray Marcos reported that there really were the seven cities of gold that Spain suspected. It turned out to be false gold. -

Coronado was sent to look for cities of gold in Cibola Coronado had discovered the Grand Canyon and other famous landmarks that people still visit today.
