he was the leader with narvez but when he died esteban became the new leader. their goal was to search for gold. -

their goal was to study land to the north and verify the 7 cities of gold. while doing this they ran into the zunis. frar marcus reported that he saw cibola. -

de soto and moscoso were both the leaders. the purpose was to search for gold. while searching for gold they found the mississippi river. they gave the same report as coronado. -

he was looking for gold for spain. the two cities that he searched for were cibola and quivera. he told everybody that they should not go to texas because it offers nothing and has no gold, harsh land, and mean indians. he wsa the reason that there was no more major expeditions for the next 150 years.
