Explaining a Lesson

  • The Beginning Engager

In the beginning of a lesson, teachers should have an exciting activity or a unique feature that will hook or engage the students to what they are going to be learning about! For example, using a song in French to learn the days of the week.
  • The Lesson

During the lesson, the teacher continutes to engage students in a variety of ways. For example, in the French class, the teacher could have students participating and helping with the lesson for continuous attention on the task.
  • Ending a Lesson

To end a lesson, teachers should end with closing statements and recap everything that was learned. The teacher could test the students on their knowledge as well. For example, the French teacher could give students the task of having to sing the days of the week in French to their parents after school!
