  • My family adopted a 9 day old foster baby boy, Ty.

    My family adopted a 9 day old foster baby boy, Ty.
    We were doing foster care for several months before Ty came to us. He was abandoned by his mother at the hospital. He was my first official younger sibling. (A goofy picture of him at age 11.)
  • At age four Jaren was welcomed into our home.

    At age four Jaren was welcomed into our home.
    He was going to be my second older brother. Jaren and his two brothers were split up when they entered the system. We were only able to adopt Jaren. (A picture of him at age 14.)
  • We added a 12 year old girl to our family, Jennifer.

    We added a 12 year old girl to our family, Jennifer.
    She was from Washington D.C. Her parents were too old to take care of her so we adopted her. She wanted her sister to come live with us too, so we adopted both. (A picture of her at age 19.)
  • Kyra, a 14 year old foster girl, became part of the family.

    Kyra, a 14 year old foster girl, became part of the family.
    She was Jennifer's biological sister. We adopted her after Jennifer because she had been with another family. My family was able to keep the two together. (A picture of her at age 17.)
  • Dylan, Sophie, and Nyla are the most recent additions to our family.

    Dylan, Sophie, and Nyla are the most recent additions to our family.
    Dylan was 10 months, Sophie was seven, and Nyla was nine when they came to us. My grandmother also did foster care and had them and that is how we met them. Our family loved them and my grandparents could not adopt anymore kids, especially that young. So we decided to adopt them and they have blessed our family so much. (In the picture Nyla (in pink.) is 11, Sophie is 8, and Dylan is 2.)

    I started playing softball.
    I always wanted to try softball, but never had. Once I did, I loved it more than any sport. I am still learning and getting better, but softball is so amazing to me. I love the feeling I get when I'm playing and I love my teammates. (This picture is from my second season of playing softball.)

    She served in Hawaii.She served on many of the islands and got to know the amazing people. I was proud of her, but I missed her everyday.
  • My varsity softball team won state.

    My varsity softball team won state.
    My second year playing softball I made the varsity team. Our school was new and very small and the team consisted of mainly eighth graders. We played teams that were mostly juniors and seniors, but we beat most. We would have never though that we were going to make it to state, let alone win it.
  • My sister returned home early from her mission.

    Alaina had growing health issues that were interfering with her life on her mission. She had to come home for the sake of getting better. She could not go back, but she did not regret anything.
  • My brother Jacob Left on his LDS mission.

    My brother Jacob Left on his LDS mission.
    He will serve a two year mission. He is going to Texas and part of Louisiana. This just happened, but I miss him so much already.
