Inquiry By Design Lab School
Edison School becomes AUSD's first and only IBD lab school for grades 3rd - 5th. This further contributes to our vision of being a community of readers -
School Modernization Planning Begins
Working with the district architectural firm, Edison will begin the modernization planning process. This will include evaluating the current learning spaces and making decisions about how to bring our 1942 school into the 21st century. -
Teacher Technology Training
Teachers will continue to develop their expertise, comfort, and knowledge of 21st century learning tools. This work will be focused on preparing for a transition to student 1-to-1 device usage in the 2018-2019 school year. -
School Modernization Work Begins
After a year of planning, the school will undergo construction to create more advanced and flexible learning environments, increase the school's capacity for and use of technology, and to make it a safer space. -
School-wide IBD implementation
Grades K - 2nd will join the IBD lab school as we create and adapt curriculum for our early elementary students. -
Project Based Learning Preparation
Staff learns about and plans for PBL implementation for the 2018-2019 school year. -
One to One Devices in Grades 3rd - 5th
Once modernization for the building is complete, we will introduce 1-to-1 devices for grades 3rd - 5th. -
Project Based Learning Implementation
Staff will implement PBL school-wide. -
School-wide One to One Devices
All students will utilize 1-to-1 devices for their learning.
