Watson and Crick discovered the double helix,which is the true format of DNA.Watson put the two bases into their correct form in cardboard models.Watson realized that A and T resembled a combination of C and G.Each pair could hold together by forming hydrogen bonds.It helped produce major current advances in science,genetic fingerprinting and modern forensics,the mapping of the human genome,and the hope of gene therapy.
