    There were 5 countries that worked together to bring peace. They were the USA, Great Britain, France,Russia,and China. These countries worked to solve disputes,solve disease and hunger, improve education and vaccinations.
  • Truman Doctrine/ Marshall plan

    On March 12, 1947 during a speech to Congress President Truman promised to provide military and economic assistance to all democratic nations to protest authoritarian rule. This meant that the U.S. chose a side. The Truman Doctrine/Marshall Plan impacted the U.S. economy because the president pledged $400,000,000. That was a lot of money.
  • Brown vs Board

    Oliver Brown and his daughter Linda were involved with this event as well as the Board of Education. Oliver Brown asked the school board if his daughter could attend an all white school because it was closer to home. This event took place in Topeka, Kansas in 1954. This event was important because it overturned the Plessy v. Ferguson case. The Brown vs Board impacted society because the Supreme Court Desegrgated all schools.

    Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK. President Kennedy was riding in a parade when he was shot. He died at Parkland hospital at 2p.m. in Dallas. This event is important because our president died and a new president was sworn in. JFK's Assassination impacted society because it was a very public event that many people saw.

    This war was between America and the Republic of China. This war was fought between the North and South Vietnam. This war was fought dispute communism. The war started in November 1955 and ended in April 1975. This war was important in history because people protested because they were upset that we got involved in another countries war. The vietnam war impacted politics because Americans turned on their government.
  • MLK Assassination

    MLK and James Earl Ray was involved in this event. MLK went to Memphis, TN to support black sanitation workers on strike. He was staying at a hotel when James Earl shot him with a riffle in the jaw severing his spinal cord. This event took place in Memphis,TN at Lorraine Motel room 306. This event is important to silence the leader of America's non-violent civil rights. The MLK Assasinations impacted society because the Civil Righs Movement pretty much ended with his assassination.
  • Man lands on the moon

    Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin. and Michael Collins were involved In the first man on th moon. Armstrong became the first person to walk on the moon with his left foot first at 10:56 pm. He described the surface as being like powdered charcoal and the landing craft left a crater about a foot deep. They planted a flag an American Flag and gathered moon samples to study and return to Earth safely. Man lands on the moon impacted society because the U.S was the first to make it to the moon.
  • Elvis Presley

    The King of Rock 'N Roll was involved with this event. Elvis was a singer from Mississippi. He died in 1977 from heart failure caused by prescription drug overdose. This event took place in Memphis Tennessee. This event was important because he had 94 gold singles and 40 gold albums. He also starred in 33 films.Elvis Presley impacted society because he was one of the biggest influences on pop culture and rock 'n roll.

    Terroist, and a lot people (passenges, flight crew, employees) There was 4 planes. Two planes crashed into the north and south world trade towers. Another one in the pentagon and another one in a field. This event took place on September 11,2001 in New York City, Virgina and Pennsylvania. Amercia was under attack for the first time since Pearl Harbor. The 9/11 Attacks impacted society, economy and politics because It was a big event that affected everyone.
  • Barack Obama's Inauguration

    Barack Obama was involved in this event. Obama was sworn into office as the 44th president of the United States. This event took place at the White House in Washington DC. This event was important because over one million people attend this even while many more watched on t.v. Obama's Inauguration impacted society because he was the first African American president.
