    Elvis Presley was born in Mississippi on Jan 8, 1935.He was known as the King of Rock & Roll and had many songs like "Hound Dog," that were big hits.Also, he served in the military as he was famous.This impacted American History because he made Rock and Roll a big thing back in his day, and was only shown from the waist up and made Television a big thing.Elvis Presley impacted Society, by melting female hearts, and breaking charts, with all his hits, and his so called "dashing" sideburns.
  • United Nations

    United Nations
    The United Nations had 193 countries involved.The United Naitons is a peace keeping organization created in 1945, after WW2.They also help find solutions to improve other countries way of life.The HQ for the U.N. is in New York City.The U.N. is a important historic landmark, due to them being a group to solve disputes between countries so we wont have another World War.The United Nations impacted society because, it provided vaccines and different health needs to societies across the world.

    This case was between Oliver Brown and The Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas.This case was for Brown's daughter to go to a ALL white school,because it was closer.Also,he was also fighting for the diversity of schools.This event took place at the Supreme court in 1954.This event is important to history because it overturned the Plessy vs Ferguson case.The Brown vs Board case impacted society by allowing segregation no more in school or in the military, this allowed every race to come together.

    The Berlin Wall involved 3 million Berliners.The Berlin Wall used to stand in East Germany, and built in 1961.The Berlin Wall was built when East Berliners fled to Western Germany, due to the Soviet Union being embarrassed by there peoples decisions, they ordered a 169 1/2 mile wall to be built.This event is important because it killed 80 people that wanted there freedom, or they would have rather died.The Berlin Wall impacted our politics because,it worsened the way we look at Soviet Union.

    The Cuban Missile Crisis was between the U.S.,Soviet Union and Cuba.The Cuban Missile Crisis was when there was a 13 day standoff because Cuba had missiles and the Soviet Union were supplying them.This event took place in October of 1962 in Cuba.The Cuban Missile Crisis is important to history because it was the closest time that we ever got to a Full Scale Nuclear War.This impacted politics because it gave us a ¨hotline¨ between the soviet union, to defuse and resolve future events.

    The Space Landing, took place on the Moon on June 20, 1969.There was 3 pilots involved, including Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Micheal Collins. This was the day the U.S. beat the Soviet Union to the Moon.Neil Armstrong was the first person to ever step on the Moon!This is important because it allowed america to have a flag on the moon and it allowes them to bring samples back for research.The man on the moon impacted our society because we were the first to claim the moon and make it there.

    Students,Police and National Guard.This event took place at Kent State University in 1970.During this event,the students were protesting over the choice to send troops to Cambodia.After many hours of protesting,police started assaulting students and then the National Guard were called,they ended up firing rounds and killing 4.This event is important to history,to show the wrong.It impacted society by creating anger because of the people that lost there lives

    The Nixon/Watergate burglary was between men who broke into Democratic HQ and Nixon who may known about it.The men that broke into the HQ were wore all black and made one mistake, of not shutting the door fully.Next,they found out Republican people stole Intel of the Democratic Party.This took place at the Watergate Complex in 1972.If these people got away with this they could have biased our choices for president.This impacted our politics because it made our President resign, from his choices.

    The Persian Gulf War took place in August 1990 in Kuwait.The war was between Iraq and The U.S. and later including 28 countries.Iraq sent 100,000 troops to Kuwait hoping to stop them from spreading there beliefs.During this event,Iraq went to Kuwait because it was rich in oil and the U.S. wanted to have a Trade boycott with Iraq.The Persian Gulf War, impacted the politics, because it allowed 28 countries to aid America in bombing Iraq,and cost Billions and Millions for war damages and oil spills

    Bill Clinton was a Democrat President.He had a 8 year term and that was 1992 to 2000.Past Gov't experiences include being the Governor of Arkansas.One big event he did included lowering the deficit.Other events include, a Health Care Reform and sending 20,000 troops to Bosnia.The last events he did included signing a Nuclear test ban and being the 2nd President to be put on trial.One fun fact about him that he had a favorite ice cream flavor of Mango.Also he won two Grammy Awards.

In 2008, there was a financial crisis all around the world.Companies that rely on credit were heavily impacted, and weren't allowed to take out loans.This event took place all around the world.This event is important because the banks didn't trust no one with loans and no one took out loans.This impacted economy, by making insurance companies trillions off of credit swaps which was great for the companies.
