Travels to Angel Island
Up until i was 15 i lived with my parents. I tried searching so bad for jobs but no one was hirirng.So i left. i told my parents i was leaving to go find a job in the United states and i would be traveling to Angel island. My parents were upset and scared. They didnt want me to leave because of the stories they heard of America. My parents stayed in Hong Kong and i left -
Arrives at Angel Island
On the last few minutes on the boat we arrived at Angel island. It was a huge island with a building built into. I had never seen anythig like that before, i was in awe but i was glad i made it because it was a long jouney and a lot of people got sick. -
Got a job
After i got off the island i was greeted by a man named William Tweed and he offered me ajob a hotel and a couple bucks to get me started. All he asked in return was that i vote for him in every election. I got a job in a sweatshop, it is a crowded room with multiple other asians -
