My goals now and then - externally
Right now i am soul focused o my job and where it will take me although that probably won't be the case. as much as I focus on where life will take me career wise 20 years from now or even 10 years from now that won't be the only ting in my life affecting my life i hope to one day develop a family and have children and be a loving mother and wife. -
5 years' time
I predict university will be a good fit for me because of my learning skills I am a great independent and responsible learner according to the Student Learning Skills as well as I have had work experience working at the University so I have gotten a real taste for what life and the environment of it is like there. I have also spoken to many students who is attending UofG to hear what it is like. I can tell it is a fast paced learning environment and built for determined passionate people like me -
five years' time
In 5 years I hope to be either on my 2nd year at university, Guelph and my major will be biology. I will need to develop skills like better time management, responsibility, confidence and independence to battle the struggles at university. I will need to have a high school certificate and be getting very excellent grades in biology as well as my other classes to maintain good average. I even will take an IB biology course in high school to ensure my pathway into this subject and my future. -
five years' time
I will need to utilize personal resources such as my family to power me through the struggles that I will face on my university journey, friends will be the ones to allow me to blow off steam and come to them in times of frustration. I need to make financial considerations that tuition is very costly so I will have to be working in my 2nd year at university at a job pays well and gives me good hours around my school schedule.As well as paying off any debt I may have from car payments or loans. -
10 years' time
I predict I will end up in medical school. I believe I will end up at medical school because I believe in helping people get better, the human body is the most interesting thing to me and all I want to do is to understand it and figure out how to help people, heal them and make patients lives easier I am a huge people person.I have attended a medical school fair last summer and it really opened my eyes as to where I want to go as well as I am applying for a medical co- op at Guelph General. -
ten years' time
I predict I will be attending Toronto University because I have always loved Toronto I go there almost every other couple of weekends because I love the downtown environment. My brother-in-law's brother went to medical school there and loved it so I am hoping to use him as a mentor through the entire process and on that journey. Although it is away from home Toronto is very familiar to me. At that medical school fair, Toronto was the biggest contender for me. -
10 years' time
At the University of Toronto for medical school. I will need to be at a 3.6 GPA as well as a undergraduate degree under my belt and social sciences course. I will also need to have such things on my resume like scholarships and awards. I will need to develop skills that prove I am a mature, collaborative and detailed human being. I need to be responsible, trustworthy and talented individual for a medical school to rely on me to shape me into a professional doctor. -
10 years' time
I will need to call on personal resources much like my ones I called on in university, accept here as well I must call 3 important people in my life to write amazing letters of recommendation to highlight the kind of person I have been through my life. Financially medical school is very costly as well so through loans and scholarships from organizations along with my parents and I contributing I will be able to get it paid for. Also within these years I hope to find a person I love & get engaged -
15 years' time
I feel like I will encounter very unique learning opportunities as I make my journey through medical school, I will meet an entire different group of people because of the kind of profession we are interested in. I will get to learn very hands on and using team work to experiment and research. -
15 years' time
I will need to develop skills like patience and commitment to stick with all the years of education to get me at my end game plan. I think here in life I will face an obstacle of how long can I stand to still be in school and question if this is still what I want to do. I will power through these thoughts and ideas because of my determination that I have to follow through with the career I want to do with my life and how bad I want to get there. -
20 years' time
during this step in my life i feel i will face obstacles of being scared and feeling worried about the huge journey infront of me but i will gain skills such as cfidence, preparedness and feeling strong in my capabilities. To make it to residency I must have qualifications of passing testing after medical school to land me to the next part of my life. I need to have go friends that I would have made in medical school to lean on one another. Financially I will begin to get paid at my residency. -
20 years' time
My prediction for me here is I will be on to a residency, I feel like I may be with the residency for paediatrics. I see myself going into this area because of my love for children. I have babysat since I was able to (12). I have young nieces and nephews that I spend so much time with. The age of 11 I loved kids I would volunteered in the JK classrooms at lunch and take care of and help them feel better. I will have to develop skills like fast learning and very observant at my residency.
