In 1492 Columbus discovered the Carribian. He found it on the fourth voyage. That inspired more explorers to come and discover America. -

The Industrial Revolution began in 1750 and ended in 1850. It was a time when the Americans developed new things, new possibilities and they learned more about the world. This is when the inventions started coming and big buisnesses started popping up. New types of buildings were made and it made America totally different. -

The Revelutionary War(the british against the United States militia) was started when the americans declared war against the british and ended when the british were defeated in Yorktown and signed the Treaty of Paris. There were revolutions against the british and the Americans wanted freedom and they got it. -
Declaration of Independence
On July 4,1776, the Declaration of Independence was signed and made a document. We wanted independence and we fought for our freedom. -
Constitution
The Constitution was signed by 38 of the 41 delagates. They met at a little building in Philidalphia and signed it. It is important because it gave our nation hope. -

Civil War
It started when the Confederacy shot upon Fort Sumptor. The Union was outnumbered and surrendered the fort to the south. It ended when the Union captured the south capitol and made Jefferson Davis surrender and the Union won. -
Abraham Lincoln Assassination
Abraham Lincoln was murdered by John Wilkes Booth in 1865. He was watching a play in Fords Theater. Then everyone heard a gunshot and someone shouted "the president has been shot, the president has been shot." Abraham Lincoln was one of the most imporant people in American history. -
The Bombing of Pearl Harbor
On December 7 in 1941 Japenese aircraft came to the secret headquarters in Hawaii and let bombs fall. It destroyed everything. Over 2,000 siolders were killed and atleast 50 ships from the navy. One bomb exploded on the Arizona igniting 1,000 barrels of gunpowder. It will be remembered forever. -
September 11, 2001
On September 11, 2001 terrorists attacked New York City, crashing 2 airplanes into both the twin towers. Another one crashed into the Pentagon, the USA's defense headquarters. And a fourth was heading to Washington D.C., but the passengers revolted. Unfortionatly almost 3,500 people died that day. It was the biggest attack on the Americans ever, besides the bombing of Pearl Harbor. We remember it as a memory of our country and we will never let it happen again. -
10 Year Anniversary of 9-11
The 10 year anniversery of 9-11 is important to everyone in America. 10 years ago the twin toweres were hit and the pentagon. Everyone will remember that because it was so bad but how us, normal citizens came together and helped each other. That is something we will never forget.
